New PLCIO Version 4.5.1 Released

Version 4.5.1 of the PLCIO communications software is now available. This is a maintenance release fixing the bugs listed below.

Bug Fixes:

  • Zero out the "struct sockaddr" structure before calling bind() when opening a socket connection. This works around a problem with AIX classifying the bind address as invalid.
  • Added support for the PLC_WCOIL operation in SLC500 messaging mode.
  • Added support for the "L" long integer file type in SLC500 mode.
  • Fixed swapping every other byte when reading/writing string data to the PLC using the PLC_RBYTE, PLC_RCHAR, PLC_WBYTE, and PLC_WCHAR operations in SLC500 mode.
  • "testplc" now expects strings as the 5th argument when called using the "wchar" or "wbyte" operations.
